Engraver Relatively little is known of the portrait and figure engraver William Thomas Fry. From 1824 until 1830, he exhibited with the Society of British Artists. Engraver Relatively little is known of the portrait and figure engraver William Thomas Fry. From 1824 until 1830, he exhibited with the Society of British Artists. He worked mainly in stipple, but also produced aquatints and lithographs. Between 1829 and 1835, Fry engraved eight portraits for the second edition of Edmund Lodge's Portraits of Illustrious Personages of Great Britain.
