Five years. 60 months. 260 weeks. 1,825 days. 43,800 hours. It’s been a little quiet around here, and full disclosure that after this post, it’ll continue to be crickets at North Country Nest. HOW TO REPAINT PAINTED CABINETS Check out this great tutorial on how to repaint painted kitchen cabinets. Yes, it can be done and yes, it WORKS! About this time two years ago I painted our kitchen cabinets.It was a huge learning project and one that left me with much to be desired. THE BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO DISTRESSING FURNITURE WITH CHALK PAINT Easy-to-Follow Guide to Distressing Furniture. Step one. If your piece of furniture has any handles, hinges, pulleys, etc., remove those with the screwdriver or drill. Step two. Lightly sand all surfaces of the furniture. It doesn’t need to be anything too crazy. The object of this step is to rough up the surface so the chalk paint has HOW TO CLEAN INTERIOR BRICK FLOORS A sprinkle of baking soda (maybe two-ish tablespoons) A sprinkle of vinegar (same, about two-ish tablespoons) A few drops of lemon essential oil (because I’m not a fan of the smell of vinegar) Warm water. How to make a DIY spring wreath. Take the leaves and flowers off their stem. Using a pen, poke an angled hole into the green foam. It should be fairly deep, but will depend on your faux flowers. Squeeze some glue into the hole and quickly shove the plant stem inside before the glue cools. Repeat this process until the entire wreath is covered. Squeeze some glue into the hole and quickly shove the plant stem inside before the glue cools. Repeat this process until the entire wreath is covered.
