Welcome to the Nation's Logistical Support Center The U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) and U.S. Forest Service (USFS) have filled requests from the Australian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council for wildfire personnel to assist with ongoing wildfire suppression efforts in Australia. Australia is greatly appreciative of the generous international support offers they have received during the recent bushfire situation. However, there is no requirement for firefighters beyond what is being provided though the existing interstate, New Zealand, Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre and National Interagency Fire Center agreements. For more information about how this longstanding firefighting arrangement has met Australia’s current fire suppression needs, please read their letter.
