Neustadt an der Weinstraße liegt in exponierter Lage am Rand des Pfälzerwaldes und am Mittelpunkt der Deutschen Weinstraße. Die wichtigsten Ressourcen von Neustadt an der Weinstraße sind seine einmalige Lage, die Kulturlandschaft sowie die intakte Umwelt. Der Weinanbau spielt eine herausragende Rolle: Neustadt und seine neun Weindörfer sind die zweitgrößte Weinbau treibende Gemeinde inDeutschland.
