Goya’s Dog features over 50 major works, sketchbooks and drawings, many not seen in public for generations. The exhibition begins in Spain during the mid-1950s when the young artist became entranced and inspired by Spanish culture –

Drawing has always been at the heart of Guy’s art practice. When he turns 100 in April 2021, he will have been drawing for at least 85

Presented by the National Art School in partnership with the Sir William Dobell Art Foundation, the biennial prize explores the enduring importance of drawing within contemporary art practice. The symposium will consider ways that drawing can conjure, evoke, embody and restore this quality of actualisation in both material and non-material, real and virtual modes of being. Eligibility for Concession Concession price is available to holders of a current Centrelink concession card, a NSW travel concession as defined by Transport for NSW, or are Alumni of NAS as defined: Graduates of the NAS holding a degree, diploma or certificate of the NAS, including graduates of the art department of East Sydney Technical College, Sydney Technical College and Alexander Mackie College of Advanced Education (between 1975-1977); and former students who have successfully completed at least one year of full-time study on any of the award courses included above. Eligible concession card holders must bring their proof of eligibility to their first class. Alumni eligibility will be checked by the Alumni Coordinator prior to the first class.
