THE AUSTRIAN IMPERIAL-ROYAL ARMY KAISERLICHE-KÖNIGLICHE On 13 May 1809, the French entered, for the second time, the Austrian capital city and seized it. Austrian forces were, at the time, considerably weakened; they lost 50.000 men dead, wounded or prisoners; lost also around 100 a large part of their depots and a considerable amount of horse-trained vehicles.
