The National Negotiating Council handbook sets out the terms and conditions negotiated at national level for employees covered by the National Negotiating Council for the Probation Service (the NNC). There are four sections to the handbook: Section A: Terms and Conditions. Section B : Policies/Procedures/Schemes. Section C:Guidance.

SUMMARY OF THE NPS PAY OFFER Summary of the NPS pay offer. Napo has helped design a new Pay System for Probation, which is now being recommended to members. If accepted by NPS union members, the new system will: give significant pensionable increases to all NPS staff over the two years of the deal (April 2018-March 2020), ranging from 13.6% to a minimum of 6%. NPS PAY CLAIM 2020/2021 NPS Pay Claim 2020/2021. Napo and our sister trade unions have now submitted the 2020/21 pay claim to the National Probation Service. The claim seeks to build on the progress that was made in the 2018 pay deal and the unions are making it very clear that our members expect the pay progression arrangements that formed part of that agreement to NPS PAY OFFER 2020/2021 PROBATION REUNIFICATION Probation Reunification update – Staff assignment process underway. CRC members ballot to take place soon on National Transfer Agreement. Whilst Napo members have welcomed the announcement of the Government U-turn on the future of the Probation Service, your union has worked hard to try and tackle the many operational and HR challenges that have arisen following this decision. #3 PUBLIC SAFETY IS COMPROMISED WITH A 21% INCREASE IN It’s fair to say that Transforming Rehabilitation has had an adverse – dangerous even – impact on the ability of probation staff to manage the risk of their clients and keep the public safe. Finance Officer. Napo has a group of eight administrators working alongside the Officers, Officials and Committees. They are: Anne Burbidge. Membership. Taytula Burke. Communications, Publications, Press and Campaigns. Kath Falcon. Membership & Finance (Branch Support), Parliamentary campaigns and NPS PAY CLAIM 2020/2021 NPS Pay Claim 2020/2021. Napo and our sister trade unions have now submitted the 2020/21 pay claim to the National Probation Service. The claim seeks to build on the progress that was made in the 2018 pay deal and the unions are making it very clear that our members expect the pay progression arrangements that formed part of that agreement to EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY Equality and Diversity. Napo is the largest recognised trade union in both Cafcass and the Probation Service. To ensure we continue and fight as an independent and vibrant trade union and advance the collective professional interests of our members we need #3 PUBLIC SAFETY IS COMPROMISED WITH A 21% INCREASE IN It’s fair to say that Transforming Rehabilitation has had an adverse – dangerous even – impact on the ability of probation staff to manage the risk of their clients and keep the public safe. WHAT THE NPS PAY DEAL MEANS FOR CRCS What the NPS pay deal means for CRCs. Napo are starting a ballot of NPS members on a new probation pay system. Although Treasury rules and politics dictate that this offer only applies directly to NPS staff – and therefore only NPS staff can be vote on the offer – Napo thinks its implementation would have a huge and almost immediateimpact
