GRANDE PRAIRIE MARKS JUNE AS PRIDE MONTH June 2021 has been proclaimed Pride Month in the City of Grande Prairie. Mayor Jackie Clayton says she believes marking the month will hopefully expand feelings of inclusivity across not only the city but the region as a whole. FIRST DOSE BOOKINGS NEED TO PICK UP TO FULLY REOPEN It appears the demand for first doses has slowed in Alberta. According to Premier Jason Kenney, there are only about 100,000 bookings over the next seven days. GRANDE PRAIRIE WOMAN WALKING 215 KM FOR RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL A Grande Prairie woman will be walking 215 kilometres in the month of June in memory of the 215 children found at a former KamloopsResidential School.

Grande Prairie RCMP Sergent Shawn Graham says the Door Knocker Program will allow officers to hear the concerns from residents themselves. GRANDE PRAIRIE GEARS UP FOR CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS The city has announced a plethora of Canada Day celebrations, both in-person and virtually. FIRES SET IN VEHICLES ON GRANDE PRAIRIE'S EAST SIDE There have been three reports of fires deliberately set in vehicles on the east side of Grande Prairie. The RCMP says they were lit in the front seats of the unoccupied vehicles between 3 p.m. April 10th and 8a.m. April 12th.
