LAST NIGHT!
A bobcat a short time ago this morning. Last night and this morning at one of the two water holes. It has been busy! Warmer weather helps. Had six different visits by skunks including two at once, a pair of fox who had a fun interaction with a skunk, and three visits bybobcats!

I’m always surprised at just how rich a glow is created when you have sun reflecting off red rock, onto more red rock. AT LONG LAST!
Kayaking in Bear Lagoon, Kenai Fjords National Park, near Seward, Alaska. (model released) Tomorrow I head to Anchorage to begin a very long awaited Kenai Fjords Photo Tour! We had to cancel this last year due to Covid, and considering some of the folks had signed up over a year before that, it means they have waited some two and a half yearsfor this trip!

Phainopepla
We have always had phainopepla here at the Desert Photo Retreat, in fact last year a pair had a nest near the lower blind. They are a bit tough to photograph since they aren’t drawn to the seed feeders as they are bug eaters. However, they seem to like the water refection table where this one was captured. Today I stopped by the blind without a camera just to see how things are doing and one came in and took a bath!
