SIGNS - CHICAGO AREA TRIATHLON COACHING So often we walk through our days and there are so many signs. Good signs, bad signs. Today was a day full of signs. It started in the gym. WHY TALENT IS OVERRATED A weekend away lends the opportunity to read a good book. Geoff Colvin’s Talent is Overrated came highly recommended to me. As someone without a notable athletic background or family, I’ve always wondered how much of success in sport is because of a genetically-enhanced engine of talent or simply a result of gettingthe work done.
AN EPIC DAY
Chris, Thomas and I drove towards Palomar in the morning. Chris would drive to the top to do a short ride and wait with our running gear. Thomas and I, however, would take the long way – about 13 miles up the mountain at a steady grade.COUNTING DOWN
This weekend I reached a turning point. I started counting down the days. Not weeks, days. I have 37 more days of being pregnant. Give or take. About two weeks MOVING OUT - CHICAGO AREA TRIATHLON COACHING I accidentally packed myself up and taped my lid shut for the past few weeks and labeled myself FRAGILE.. Kidding. We’re moving! And why is it that moving sounds like a better idea than it actually turns out tobe?
