MONDO DE MUEBLES: THE 2-TONE STORY Good morning listeners.Im looking for help from someone in tracking this down.what im after specifically is the "live" side of this album.when originally released it was on double vinyl and cassette which was split between studio tracks on one part and live tracks on the other.ive seen it for sale on amazon and id have no problem buying it but the version there doesnt include all the live MONDO DE MUEBLES: THE SPECIALS evening all.just a quick re-post today (as requested by chris79) from the specials recorded in Boston in 1980.anyway mate hope you like it.so please listen, enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks!MONDO DE MUEBLES
Hello and welcome to the first post of the blog in 2021.So what we have on offer today is the first issue of Sniffin Glue fanzine. First published in 1976,it was a real hand made, hand drawn magazine and would go on to become one of the most widely known magazines from thisera.
MONDO DE MUEBLES: 2019 My tribute to the late great MCA Adam Yauch.its a compilation of mashups etc featuring, the clash, joe strummer, depeche mode, the ramones etc etc.theres 14 tracks in total including one which isnt a mashup but is the hard to get single 'rock hard' which samples back in black by ac/dc so it almost is.anyway whilst listening spare a moment to think of Adam and his great contribution to music from MONDO DE MUEBLES: THE MO-DETTES PEEL SESSION E.P todays first peel posting comes coutesy of this little gem from the mo-dettes recorded in january 1980.Its a 4 track recording from the bbc studios in maida vale.this features a nice version of their best song 'white mice' and 3 other songs.according to wikipedia they recorded 2 other peel sessions so if anyone knows how i could get hold of them please get in touch.so now its time to settle MONDO DE MUEBLES: THE LURKERS REPOST REQUEST:while gobby junior is asleep ill continue with the peel reposts.this is another band that i have fond memories of seeing over the years, this set comprises their peel sessions from '77 and also some other BBC punk sessions.a great compilation for your collections.although its not the complete bbc punk sessions which used to be on the blog but now isnt(not sure why)so play this MONDO DE MUEBLES: XTC originally formed in 1972 and going through several name changes and line ups the band finally settled on the name XTC in 1976.they released their first single in 1977 and their first album 'white music' in 1978.im not sure of the exact dates of the session recordings but i think one was recorded on june 24th 1977.anyway its better for you to just listen, enjoy some great music and then leave a MONDO DE MUEBLES: BIG AUDIO DYNAMITE And moving things along today is Vol.8 of The B.A.D files. this is the final volume that i possess and would love to hear the 2 disk vol.9 if anyone has it or might know where to find it. anyways 14 tracks for your listening pleasure this time around. please listen, enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks! MONDO DE MUEBLES: X RAY SPEX a late post today is this brilliant live offering from the wonderful xray spex recorded at the (now sadly closed)legendary cbgb's.its 12 songs in total and its a pretty good sound for what it is.listen carefully to the beginning of art-i-ficial, i laughed a lot.anyway time to take in some classic old school punk rawk, enjoy it and then leave a comment.thanks! MONDO DE MUEBLES: THE REDSKINS Anonymous said Thanks for this a very under rated (and possibly coz of the group name) misunderstood band. I'm looking forward to hearing to hearing this-with so many bloggers giving up in the words of the Redskins Keep on Keepin' on! MONDO DE MUEBLES: THE PHANTOM CHORDS this was a great band who i had the pleasure of seeing live at the borderline in london in about 1994 ish and a great gig it was.they played a lot of their original stuff and if memory serves me correctly a damned cover or two. so now its time for you all to listen, enjoy and leave a comment.thanks! MONDO DE MUEBLES: 2013 Morning all. Continuing with posts from the clash we have this post (a repost request!)from the band recorded at Brixtons Fair Deal(now the academy fact fans!) in july of 1982. i know there is a soundboard upgrade of this floating about somewhere but i cant find it anywhere so if anyone is aware or could send me a copy that would be much appreciated.its 23 tracks for your listening pleasure MONDO DE MUEBLES: MAY 2016 Repost : this is a strange clash boot for you all today.i got it as a 2 disk cd-r a few days ago and honestly had never heard of it before.it seems to be a compilation of other bootlegs from 'd.o.a' and 'rudeboy' etc.theres also some live tracks from unknown(to me anyway)sources but disk 2 has a few remixes etc that ive not heard recently and some mescaleros live pieces etc.also on disk 1 is a MONDO DE MUEBLES: 2014 Starting a peel session repost request (as requested by Colonel Dan) is this session from 999.4 tracks featured here for your listening pleasure including my favourite 'homicide'.nothing else to say except play it really lou d,enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks! 999 peelsession
MONDO DE MUEBLES: THE RICH KIDS another great rich kids compilation this one is made up of demos and a few live tracks.ive got a 'best of' compilation in a box somewhere as well so if anyone wants to hear that let me know .now you have to listen, enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks! MONDO DE MUEBLES: 2009 greetings listeners from radio muebles.todays post comes courtesy of 'sideshow bob' well actually his real name is jake but if you saw his hair youd know why we call him that.anyway this is a compilation that does exactly as it says on the tin.bands like the mighty mighty bosstones, reel big fish, less than jake etc. cover such 80's hair metal bands like twisted sister, iron maiden and poison MONDO DE MUEBLES: JUNE 2009 a nice clash show for you today finds the band opening for the who in new york in september 1982.this is an audience recording but with pretty good sound quality for one of those boots.quite a short set (12 tracks) with no real surprises in terms of what was played.anyway time to listen, dance, enjoy and then leave a comment.thanks! MONDO DE MUEBLES: THE SPECIALS hi all.first post today ( for jockman70) is a repost of the specials recent glasgow gig.i know a lot of you had probs with the downloading so im reposting it in the hopes that this one reaches you in better condition.ive tried downloading and unzipping it myself and it MONDO DE MUEBLES: 2012 Evening all in interweb land. MONDAY, JUNE 17, 2019 THE CRAMPS - BOOZE PARTY this is one ive not been able to find too much info on.i know the bootleg was initially a double-vinyl issue but apart from that not much else.all i know that its another excellent sound quality live c.d from the mondo-de-muebles archives that finds the cramps playing a blistering set of their demented take on all things trash and psychobilly.trashabilly if you like.anyway play this very loud, listen,do a silly dance and most of all enjoy, and leave acomment.thanks!
p.s As ive been listening to this it occurred to me that Nick Knox died just over a year ago on June 15th.he really was the coolest drummer in rock n roll. R.I.P NickCramps_Booze_Party

THE CLASH - ATLANTA 2.10.79 this is another show from the 'take the 5th tour'.The tour swings down south into Georgia and Texas but without the Undertones who left after the Toronto gig. The band and particularly Joe were excited and inspired by playing in the southern states for the first time. Money problems continued; with Epic not coming through, the road crew were particularly difficult with drastic measures needed by Johnny Green and Baker.Pennie Smith was at the gig taking photos; one at least is credited to Atlanta on the back cover of London Calling.so this is a great sounding gig but with an edge to it.i cant explain what but listen for yourselves, play it loud till the neighbours threaten to call the police, then turn it down and leave a comment.thanks!Atlanta 79

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13, 2019 FOR ONE NIGHT ILLEGALLY - THE HISTORY OF BOOTLEGS Evening all.here is a really interesting post i received yesterday from Mr Camden Dave. It's a show originally broadcast on Radio 4 in 2009 In which as the title suggests the history of the bootleg recording is traced from the earliest recordings at the Metropolitan in New york in the late 1800's through the 60's and 70's up to the present day(well 2009 at least!).an interesting piece to listen to on your commute to work or similar it runs just under an hour and is well worth a listen.so please listen enjoy and leave a comment, thanks! latino rockabilly war FRIDAY, JANUARY 25, 2019 JOE STRUMMER AND THE MESCALEROS - GLASTONBURY 1999 the last posting for this evening is Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros at Glastonbury in 1999.this one is taken from a (probably)bbc radio 6 re-broadcast in 2003(i think).anyway its 12 tracks long and features a great mix of clash and mescaleros faves.joe is on great form and dedicates 'rock the casbah' to an ex-drummer of his you may have heard of.the sound here is brilliant and sounds fantastic on either good speakers or headphones.so you really, really have no excuses in not playing this loud, enjoying it and then leaving a comment on it.thanks!
