Donations from the Minnesota FFA have made it possible to send children and adults with disabilities to camp as well as help maintain and build additional facilities at camp like the Speech and Hearing Therapy building, a greenhouse, and a dining hall. STATEWIDE CAMPAIGN ELEVATES UNLEADED 88 AS THE ‘BETTER Statewide campaign elevates Unleaded 88 as the ‘Better Fuel’ at the pump. Entering 2021, the desire for higher blends of ethanol-blended fuels remains evident. Nearly 75 million gallons of E15, known widely as Unleaded 88, were pumped in 2020—a 20-percent increase over sales just two years prior. To build on the momentum, The Minnesota
INNOVATION GRANT SPOTLIGHT: NO-TILL AND COVER CROPS TO Olson is now in the third and final year of his research. “The Innovation Grant Program is a really fantastic way to have farmers think about what they want to test, and to help offset costs for tests that they otherwise wouldn’t do,” said Olson. The effects of no-till+cover crops, versus conventional tillage: 90 percent less erosion.
FOOD GRADE DDG FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION– VALUE ENHANCEMENT … The purpose of this study is commercial development of Food Grade Distillers Grains. New food grade ethanol plants have come on-line in recent years and are a significant development since there is now an even greater need for new markets and new applications for a co-product of ethanol production. CASHING IN KERNELS FOR CAMP COURAGE For over 60 years, FFA chapters across the state have been collecting corn donations as a fundraiser for Camp Courage. Donations from the Minnesota FFA have made it possible to send children and adults with disabilities to camp as well as help maintain and build additional facilities at camp like the Speech and Hearing Therapy building, a greenhouse, and a dining hall.
