TOP 10 BEACHFRONT HOTELS IN SOUTH BEACH Two fabulous miles of beach line the eastern shore of South Beach offering some amazing hotels for the ultimate splurge. However, not all hotels that bill themselves as oceanfront will be directly on the beach. Hotels on Ocean Drive between 5th and 15th Streets face the ocean-front Lummus Park, so although the hotels technically enjoy ocean views they are NOT on the beach. True Beachfront SNORKELING AT JOHN PENNEKAMP PARK John Pennekamp Snorkeling Boat Tours have resumed! This is one of the main activities at the park, the reefs are calling! Here's about snorkeling tours, new Covid-19 precautionary measures, snorkeling from the beach, and snorkeling gear rentals at the park. There are also many operators outside the park that provide snorkeling tours to the reefs, here are some pros and cons to both options. SOUTH BEACH LIFEGUARD TOWERS Art Deco at the Beach: Dotting the Miami shore and all along South Beach in vivid contrast to the sparkling blue ocean, stands an array of brightly colored lifeguard towers. They have become a cherished symbol of Miami and are part of the movement that came to represent the rebirth of the city. THE MIAMI BEACH WALK The Miami Beach Walk. One of the most fantastic features of this city is the path that runs along the eastern shore of Miami Beach, which consists of paver roads, boardwalks, sandy stretches, biking paths and promenades. Most commonly known as the Miami Beach Boardwalk, it "officially" runs from 5th Street in South Beach to 46th Street at CANOEING AND KAYAKING AT BISCAYNE NATIONAL PARK Canoeing, kayaking, or paddleboarding in Biscayne National Park are a fun way to explore the mangrove coastlines lining the bay.
