ACCESSING MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES Accessing Mental Health Services. If you need urgent mental health support, call your local mental health crisis team now. The most recent year for which we have provisional suicide data is the financial year from July 2018 – June 2019. This data showed the highest number of reported suicides New Zealand has recorded. 685 people are suspected to have died by suicide during this period.
