As a high school senior he enlisted in the Marine Corps, and after completing boot camp at Parris Island he was swiftly assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines, and deployed to Anbar Province, Iraq, in 2006. GRACE'S SCHOLARSHIP (APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN) Grace’s scholarship (applications now open) Marine Scholar Grace Frazier has faced her fair share of challenges: In September 2018, Hurricane Florence hit her town and destroyed much of what she called home. CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP The CTE scholarship application is available all year and applications are processed every month. The entire process will take about 6-8 weeks: Week 1: Complete and submit an application. Week 2-6: Application reviewed and processed. Week 7: Award decision emailed to applicants.
