CONSUMER TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENT SCHEME EXTENDED The Consumer Travel Reimbursement Scheme has supported travel agencies and wholesalers to recoup $245 million in refunds and $190 million in credits for New Zealanders who were owed money as a result of cancelled overseas travel caused by COVID-19. The CRIs have 2 shareholding ministers who act to protect the Crown’s investment in CRIs, the Minister of Science and Innovation (external link) and the Minister of Finance (external link).. BUILDING FOR CLIMATE CHANGE 55% want operational efficiency requirements to be implemented ahead of the proposed 2035 timeframe. 49% thought requirements for existing buildings should be introduced at a later date. Embodied carbon. 74% support a cap on whole-of-life carbon for new builds. 80% were in favour of establishing a data repository of embodied carbon frombuildings.
