BARN AND CABIN

The Barn at Marble House Project was originally a dairy barn built in Waterville Vermont in 1870. In 2014 it was moved to Dorset and rehabilitated. The barn is 40 feet wide by 50 feet long. In addition, it has a stone porch with covered roof. On one side of the barn is the swimming quarry and on the other side is the organic farm.

The Barn at Marble House Project was originally a dairy barn built in Waterville Vermont in 1870. In 2014 it was moved to Dorset and rehabilitated. The barn is 40 feet wide by 50 feet long. In addition, it has a stone porch with covered roof. On one side of the barn is the swimming quarry and on the other side is the organic farm. IT IS WITH A HEAVY HEART THAT MARBLE HOUSE PROJECT HAS DECIDED TO POSTPONE ALL RESIDENCIES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.  THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR US TO SAFELY HOLD RESIDENCIES WHERE ARTISTS LIVE, WORK AND EAT TOGETHER. THE WELL-BEING OF OUR ARTISTS, OUR STAFF AND OUR COMMUNITY IS AT THE FOREFRONT OF OUR DECISION MAKING AND WE SINCERELY HOPE THAT WE WILL BE ABLE TO RESUME OPERATIONS IN THE NOT SO DISTANT FUTURE. WE ARE TRULY HEARTBROKEN BUT IN THIS TIME OF UNCERTAINTY, WE HOPE EVERYONE WILL STAY SAFE, HEALTHY AND CREATIVE. WE WILL BE POSTING ALL THE ARTISTS THAT WERE ACCEPTED FOR 2020 AND SINCERELY HOPE THAT EACH UNIQUE AND CURATED RESIDENCY CAN AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED IN THE FUTURE. MARBLE HOUSE PROJECT IS A MULTI-DISCIPLINARY ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM THAT FOSTERS COLLABORATION & THE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS BY PROVIDING AN ENVIRONMENT FOR ARTISTS ACROSS DISCIPLINES TO LIVE AND WORK SIDE BY SIDE  TO DATE, WE HAVE SUPPORTED OVER 315 ARTISTS WORKING IN A VARIETY OF CREATIVE FIELDS.  THEY HAVE SHARED THEIR WORK WITH YOU AND WITH EACH OTHER.
