MARAUDERAIRRIFLE.COM • VIEW TOPIC Yeah now that I realized the root cause of the problem was the o-rings preventing the hammer from striking the poppet it makes sense that when I adjusted the hammer stroke to be shorter ie turning that adjustment clockwise to advance it actually allowed the gun to fire but when I turned the hammer stroke to maximum stroke length it wouldn't fire at all but I removed all but one hour ring and MARAUDERAIRRIFLE.COM • VIEW TOPIC JSB Kings and Benji Domes both fly very accurately out of the variety of 25 M-rods I've shot. Within 50 yards, both were great. at 70 to 120 yards, the JSB group was noticeably tighter. The Crosman does not work because it is just a doughnut that has a large hole in the middle. That large hole allows air to flow, but also allows the ping. The marauder is a PCP air gun that fun and inexpensive to shoot. It can get many shots on a fill which means less times pumping and more time shooting. PCP airguns are much more accurate and easy to shoot than the springer type of airguns sold at the discount stores. New member here and just wanted to let everyone know that the .25 cal Marauder is capable of 100 FPE plus on a low psi fill with Tim Hill parts and a lil work. Just take a quick look at the chronograph pics and the vids. Please remember this is done on a 22k psi start fill with 25.4 grain JSB pellets. POI is dead on out to 125

yards.

MARAUDERAIRRIFLE.COM • VIEW TOPIC The highest I ever got from my .22 when it was "stock" was 42 FPE - that was with the settings all maxed out and a 3200 psi fill shooting Baracudas (heavier pellets get more energy out of the air charge). The velocity fell off very fast after only a few shots when set that way, so those settings only about 2 or 3 usable shots. There are actually two, what appears to be different rings. The inner ring which is the valve seat has an ID of .260 and about .290 for the OD. I’ve owned 3 of each caliber Gen 1 Marauders. Several should have been kept. I really regret selling my 23.75” LW Greg Davis .22.I now have one Gen 2 .22 & I see a rubber block that sits in stock cushioning reservoir. Mine has a synthetic stock & shoots everything from COHP’s, JSB’s, PILEDRIVERS! Yes, DoctorRoberts.257

Given the breech is NOT warped and setting flush and flat to the main air tube already ... NOPEIssue more than any other is that the pressure exerted via the transfer port and it's area creating deflection keeps the upper receiver from flexing or separating it from lower tube. The rest is barrel harmonics, shit Motorhead * Would larger breech and barrel screws help accuracy??

Has anyone tried it? The tiny #4 screws in the breech, can they be safely drilled and tapped to a #6, and would it help accuracy? I don't see why you couldn't do it to the set screws that hold the barrel, seems like there's plenty of material, and nothing to worry about wearing thin. gregw83 * Re: Marauder to Marauder Comparison

By opening up all the ports except for the throat, the throat became the restriction for .168 porting.With the set up that you have (if the throat is at .2 or less) all your post porting is equal to .151".
