WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE LUCIFER NEWS FROM NETFLIX? THEY SAVED IT JUST TO END THE SERIES. AND THE NUMBER OF THE EPISODES OF THE 4TH AND 5TH SEASON (10) DOESN'T EVEN EQUAL A FULL SEASON, SO IT'S LIKE THEY GOT JUST ONE MORE FULL SEASON. IT'S REALLY WEIRD, AND DOESN'T SEEM PROFITABLE FROM AN ECONOMICAL POINT OF VIEW(?) AFTER THEIR ACTIONS IN THE LAST YEAR (NOT JUST ABOUT SH) I LOST ALL THE FAITH I HAD ON

I’ve been offline most of the day, so this is the first I’m hearing about this. They’re ending the show after season 5? Am I understanding this correctly? Honestly, given that Deadline article about how shows longer than 3 seasons aren’t usually profitable for Netflix unless they’re produced in-house, I think we need to be grateful that Netflix at least did a 5th season for Lucifer, especially given where s4 ended. I was concerned that wouldn’t happen, and I suspect the only reason it would is because it will take that much to recoup their investment in acquiring the rights, and because of that brutal cliffhanger. Beyond that, they just won’t make money off it unless it’s a mega-hit, and as much as many people love it, I don’t think it falls into that category. Of course, without their internal numbers, we have no way of

knowing.

Alec hasn’t wanted to ask Aline or Helen to get involved, because that has to be their choice, but then Aline approaches him and says it would make a huge impact if the Consul’s daughter were to MC the event (in addition to it being planned by the Inquisitor and his husband.) With most of the rest of the Lightwood family turning up in support, and the Consul strong-armed into declaring her favor rather than publicly disagreeing with her daughter, more Nephilim start to come out of the woodwork. Compared to other events globally, it’s still a _very_ small parade and festival, but it’s still a start.

MY 3X20 MALEC PREDICTION (WARNING FOR POTENTIAL BOOK-BASED SPOILERS) So, I still haven’t had a chance to go through my big mega-speculation post

and tally up

my hits and misses. There have been a lot of moments where I got fairly close to the mark but wasn’t entirely accurate (frex: Alec’s DID make a deal with Asmodeus to get Magnus’s magic back and it DID result in Asmodeus escaping his banishment, but undoing the banishment wasn’t actually Asmodeus’s price for restoring Magnus’s magic or the result of the Malec separation.) Still, going into the finale, I have a suspicion of how it’s going to play out, so I’m going to document it to see if any of it pans

out.

For those of you who are new and don’t really know me, this is just a game I play with myself, not anything I take very seriously. I don’t mind being wrong when it happens, except for those times when I feel like it would have made a better story if I’d been right (Robert Lightwood, I’m looking at YOU.) Sometimes I hit it precisely on the head (I predicted Magnus’s deal with Asmodeus after 3x07 aired) and sometimes I’m WAY off the mark (*sigh* my whole Aldertree/Sebastian theory.)
