Dave Perry is well known for his enthusiastic and engaging teaching style for sailors of all ages and levels, as well as highly respected for his deep knowledge of the sport of Sailing. He is one of the sport’s leading rules experts, serving on the US Sailing Appeals Committee and being the Rules Advisor for several recent America’s Cup teams and the US Sailing Team at the 2008, 2012 and LAKE WINNIPESAUKEE SAILING ASSOCIATION LWSA Annual Meeting is November 10, 2020 at 6pm. The meeting will be held virtually this year. LWSA Fall Volunteer Day is October 31, 2020 at 10:30am-1:00pm. LWSA has a long history of youth racing and in fact there are many opportunities to learn and improve racing skills locally with our help. Each summer, young sailors from LWSA participate in regattas (sailboat races), including our own W.A.R. Regatta (Winnipesaukee Annual Regatta) held annually in July. The meeting will be held virtually this year. LWSA Fall Volunteer Day is October 31, 2020 at 10:30am-1:00pm. This is a great way to volunteer to help get the sailing school ready for winter and to meet people in the sailingcommunity.

The Lake Winnipesaukee Sailing Association, Inc. is dedicated to helping children from 7 to 16 build character through learning to appreciate, harness and respect the elements of wind and water. We are committed to work with students of all interests, abilities and means. The LWSA has taught several thousand sailors since 1988.ADULT CLASSES
Ages 16+ ; Four 3-hour classes; Fee: $345click for Schedule or click to Register. This course is for adults with little or no sailing experience. It will be taught in small groups in a stable and comfortable 23-foot Sonar keelboat and a 26-foot J/80 . In this hands-on course, students will learn to rig the boat, handle sails andsteer the boat.

J/80 FLEET 1
J/80 Fleet 1. Lake Winnipesaukee is home to one of the original J/80 fleets. The J/80 is a fast, fun, 26-foot sportboat, usually sailed with a crew of 4. We race every Thursday evening at 6pm in the Spring and Summer Series and 5:30pm in the Fall Series. The season last from mid-May to mid-October, on Lake Winnipesaukee in Gilford, NewHampshire.

Every extra pair of hands is helpful and makes the morning go quickly. Great chance to enjoy coffee and doughnuts by the lakeside before first snowfall !

It is a fun evening, good food and friends, and a wonderful recap of the sailing season for the J/80 Fleet and PHRF Racing / Mixed Fleet, and the Sailing School. It is also a chance to have a say in our leadership and governance of the organization. The event will be held at the new Governor's Island Club House.

"W.A.R." Youth Regatta - July 25, 2019 The Winnipesaukee Annual Regatta (W.A.R.) is organized in Gilford on Lake Winnipesaukee each year by LWSA. Youth sailors and youth sailing organizations from across New England, New York, and adjacent regions always ensure that the W.A.R. is a welcoming, spirited competition with a fun time had by all. 2019 W.A.R. will be held on July 25th at Winnipesaukee Yacht Club and LWSA Dave Adams Sailing Center.
