By introducing different quantities of color-encoding genes to the bacterial colonies and incubating them, colors begin to emerge. Visitors can insert their Petri dish into a viewer that uses computer vision to analyze the colonies and tell you what color you’ve made. In 1921, a small group of white residents in Tulsa, Oklahoma destroyed the thriving African American neighborhood of Greenwood, known as Black Wall Street, flattening over 35 blocks and killing over 300 people. The incident known today as the Tulsa Race Massacre was covered up by the state and federal government, and is often not HYDE PARK BARRACKS MUSEUM The Hyde Park Barracks is a UNESCO World Heritage site that served as the administrative hub for Britain's transportation system and stood at the heart of a sprawling network of convict sites. By introducing different quantities of color-encoding genes to the bacterial colonies and incubating them, colors begin to emerge. Visitors can insert their Petri dish into a viewer that uses computer vision to analyze the colonies and tell you what color you’ve made. A projection-based augmented reality experience guides visitorsthrough the

Queens. The Queens installation tells the story of the life and death of a Queens woman. The storefront personifies 40th Road where she worked, through its unexpected shapes and neon-colored lights, evoking the details of signs from the street from one angle, and from the other end of, they cohere into a butterfly — representing one of the story subject’s favorite images.GREENWOOD RISING
Overview. In 1921, a small group of white residents in Tulsa, Oklahoma destroyed the thriving African American neighborhood of Greenwood, known as Black Wall Street, flattening over 35 blocks and killing over 300 people. The incident known today as the Tulsa Race Massacre was covered up by the state and federal government, and is often not HYDE PARK BARRACKS MUSEUM The Hyde Park Barracks is a UNESCO World Heritage site that served as the administrative hub for Britain's transportation system and stood at the heart of a sprawling network of convict sites. Its role as an agent of colonial change and its impact on Aboriginal Australia arestill felt today.

Founded in 1980 by Esta Soler, an anti-violence advocate who was instrumental in the 1994 passage of the Violence Against Women Act, Futures Without Violence develops innovative ways to end violence against women, children, and families at home and around the world. Their latest innovation? IBM WATSON EXPERIENCE CENTERS The IBM Watson Experience Centers are permanently branded experiences, with locations in New York City, San Francisco, and Cambridge. The centers are invitation only and their primary audience is potential customers of IBM Watson. The collaborative meeting space also serves as educational centers for researchers, students, and media. Patterns of Life. Our algorithm-driven particle design captures the intuitive and extraordinary patterns in everyday life, and creates visual elements to differentiate the MetLife brand. By drawing on the motions of people moving through everyday life, we bring people, time,and
TURNING VISITORS INTO DESIGNERS Immerse yourself in a room of wallpaper. The Immersion Room brings the museum’s vast collection of wallpaper samples to life with an array across two projection walls. Their latest innovation? PLEASE TOUCH THE ART Overview. When the Cleveland Museum Of Art embarked on its $350 million expansion, they needed to grow their audiences to match. Our research showed that most of their visitors returned with a deep sense of ownership over particular parts of the collection. With this in mind, we set out to rethink what an art museum could be. BIG HEART | LOCAL PROJECTS The Details. In the center of Times Square, we created a 10-foot sculptural display out of 400 acrylic tubes embedded with red LEDs that pulse and glow in the shape of a heart. Passers-by were invited to touch a sensor that beat in resonance with their heart. The more people that touched the sensor or one another, the faster the heartbeat and

The Equal Justice Initiative, a non-profit organization led by civil rights attorney Bryan Stevenson, is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society. ABB CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE CENTERS The first instance of the concept has a permanent home in ABB’s Corporate Research Center in Ladenburg, Germany, and also anchored ABB’s global customer conference in Houston. These initial installations are just the start of a multi-year effort by ABB’s Customer Experience team to establish similar centers around theworld.
