Beginning May 10, 2021, cities eligible to receive American Rescue Plan Act funding directly from the U.S. Department of the Treasury, may submit the required information through the Treasury Submission Portal. This portal is for entitlement units of government, most commonly those more than 50,000 in population. AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT: PROVISIONS OF INTEREST TO CITIES In addition to $130.2 billion to local governments, the law includes numerous provisions that may help cities recover from COVID-19. In addition to the $350 billion to help state and local governments address economic impacts related to COVID-19, the federal American Rescue Plan Act includes other funding programs and policy changes in an effort to further mitigate the damage the pandemic has FFCRA LEAVE AND THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT OF 2021 The amount of Emergency Paid Sick Leave under the American Rescue Plan is two weeks (10 days) for the period April 1, 2021 through Sept. 30, 2021. Since the 2020 leave expired as of Dec. 31, 2020, if a city offers this leave to employees, the full 10 days/two weeks is available as of April 1, 2021. The maximum tax credit for EmergencyPaid Sick

CARES ACT FUNDS: REQUIREMENTS FOR ISSUING 1099-G Cities that used Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF) to provide grants and forgivable loans will need to issue Form 1099-G to qualifying recipients.
