After my surgery which the doctor quoted as 'routine and simple' I had to deal with the shock of it all, the hearing loss, the pain, the mind blowing confusion in my head as my eyes saw one thing and my ears heard another it was as if my senses were at war with each other and still are to this day. HYPERACUSIS: IT'S IMPORTANCE TO STAY POSITIVE "A doctor is a person who learns about something and practices it. Many have never experienced it themselves. To me, the doctor is only the person who watched the Right Brother's accomplish the impossible." HYPERACUSIS AND DISABILITY Therefore, it does not full under normal disability guidelines and requirements. STAYING MOBILE AND STAYING CONNECTED With the covid lockdowns, shutdowns, quarantines, and reopenings 2020 has been a very stressful year for everybody. That's why I've been staying active and using my time wisely to heal from my surgeries, continue my therapies, and advance my studies thru onlinecertifications.
10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT TINNITUS AND HYPERACUSIS It's a Balancing Act: I have to listen to things loud enough that it masks my 24/7 tinnitus, but low enough it doesn't cause pain and flareup my hyperacusis. Loss of Concentration: Tinnitus has a way of interfering with one's ability to focus and concentrate. I find it very difficult to read a book. These days, I've taken to magazines. Tinnitus is that never being able to turn the sound down, that alarm clock that won't stop going off or how about that neighbors car where the alarm goes off 50 thousand times. HYPERACUSIS: THE HEARING TEST FROM HELL My day started off way to early 3:00 a.m. was to soon to wake.. What once use to be little or no sales in just half a months time brought in close to $90.00. It would be this project that would help me through my starting stages of receiver from the double surgery an infection that came out of nowhere first targeting my throat and going into both ears cause me so much pain, loss of hearing in both ears and severe HYPERACUSIS: THE HEARING TEST FROM HELL My day started off way to early 3:00 a.m. was to soon to wake.. HEARING TEST RESULTS It was a dreadful mess out this morning, as I headed for my first hearing test since my surgery in October of 2014. It's difficult on the best of days to get tested with constant ringing in ones ears from tinnitus, even more difficult to manage the sensitivity to the soundswith hyperacusis.
THE KEY TO LIFE DETERMINATION One of the things I have talked about in earlier posts is my ongoing struggle with+Tinnitus and +Hyperacusis.I'm asked all the time how I deal with it and I credit the fact that I have always been a very determined person throughout life before any of this ever happened tome.
BLUETOOTH USE WITH TINNITUS AND HYPERACUSIS Great news, I finally found one! Because of my tinnitus, hyperacusis, as well as my processing disorder, and nerve damage in my ears it's taken me quite some time, 4 years really to be able to put something in my ears or on my ears that doesn't cause me pain.
