For those unfamiliar with the Waldorf system of education, it values
imagination and creativity, but in a practical way. Since its creation in 1919, the Waldorf model has become a highly valued education system used around the world. Savannah Heard was preparing a presentation on the paranormal. Continue reading →June 6, 2019

PORTAL MAGAZINE
The _Beau Dick: Revolutionary Spirit_ book review I wrote was published in the 2019 issue of _Portal_ magazine. Even though Beau Dick passed away in 2017, he’s still someone I look up to and admire, both as a visionary artist and as an activist. I’m proud my piece was chosen because it allows me to tell more people about him while critiquing the book. Two of my photographs were also accepted into the magazine. Continuereading →

THE HAUNTING OF VANCOUVER ISLAND: BOOK TRAILER AND GIVEAWAYS It’s officially Halloween, and _The Haunting of Vancouver Island_ is one year old! And what better way to celebrate, than by sharing it with the rest of the world through a short, but deadly sweet, book trailer. There will be giveaways in the weeks to come as well. It’s been a great year. The_ Haunting of Vancouver Island_ was on the BC Bestseller list for 42 of the 52 possible weeks it could’ve been. It fell off when we ran out of books, as we had to go to a second print sooner than anticipated. It later dropped off again, when stores had low stock. Pretty good for a book that focuses on a small part of British Columbia isn’t it? _The Haunting of Vancouver Island_ was number one on Amazon in the “Supernaturalism” category multiple times. As far as I know, it’s never fallen off of the “Top 50” list, which is updated hourly. _The Haunting of Vancouver Island_ is “a bestseller” in Chapters and Coles on Vancouver Island as well, sales that aren’t included in the BC Bestseller list. It’s being carried in multiple First Nations galleries, museums, and gift stores too. We are now in our third print. All of this is thanks to you! The readers. I’LL BE SHOWING MY APPRECIATION FROM NOW UNTIL THE WINTER SOLSTICE, THROUGH RANDOM ONCE-A-WEEK GIVEAWAYS TO PEOPLE WHO SHARE THE TRAILER AND/OR ANYTHING TO DO WITH _THE HAUNTING OF VANCOUVER ISLAND_ USING THE HASHTAG #THEHAUNTINGOFVANCOUVERISLANDON
TWITTER AND/OR INSTAGRAM. If you don’t have either of these channels, then feel free to like my FB page, post something similar on it, or leave a comment here and you’ll be included! I’d love to hear which chapter was your favourite, or how you learned about the book in the first place. Congratulations to the winners of the items below! I still have two signed copies of my book to give away over the next two weeks. As seenon this Santa post.
