Energetic dance and singing performances. Upbeat Bollywood music. Delicious food. Performers from all over the Bay Area. These are some of the highlights of the annual cultural showcase Silsilay, which Lynbrook’s American-Indo Student Association (AISA) presents every year during the spring. The showcase, which brings hundreds of students and parents out every year, is the FEMINISM FROM THE 1900S TO THE MODERN DAY Feminism, a movement that has often resurfaced throughout history, has been steadily gaining momentum, especially in recent years. By definition, feminism is the advocacy of women’s rights on the basis of having equality of the sexes. Under this ideology, people have banded together for centuries to promote gender equality and empowerone another.
THE EPIC | IN THE FACE OF TERROR The moment after people’s lives are lost in an act of terror, the media goes into a frenzy. Reporters fly out to the scene, stories float around on the internet and the comments section of any post burst with the opinions of people near and far, conservative andliberal.
