LEE LOADER • VIEW TOPIC Re: loading 35 Remington with pistol bullets? Fri Apr 13, 2018 2:46 pm. It is my understanding that the PC bullet will misbehave much like bare lead if it's not at least full groove dia . That shouldn't be a big deal in a 35 rifle but if the 125s are 9mm fat and 38 skinny they might be small for the rifle . LEE LOADER • VIEW TOPIC Strength of Uberti 1875 Schofield. Thu Mar 19, 2020 11:59 pm. I have a 1875 Uberti Schofield in a .38 Special/S&W .38. Long. It is a great shooter with a 7" BBL and weight forward. While I shoot regular (standard) .38 Special loads in it out of difference to its "break action", I was wondering if anyone knows if Uberti considers +P OK? I had some cases that had been stepped on, LEE LOADER • VIEW TOPIC Re: 7.62x54R. Wed Feb 14, 2018 7:05 pm. People use .308 and they can be used to hit the target. All the reload data I have uses .308. The actual diameter should be .311 in a jacketed bullet. The major bullet makers specify this on some of the bullets "for 7.7 Japanese, .303 British and 7.62 Russian" is how I saw on of them on line. LEE LOADER • VIEW TOPIC The case capacity of the 308 is approximately 12% less than the 7.5 and the published max pressure Varget load in the 308 (47 grains) is near 60k psi. Predicted pressure with Quick Load for that charge in the Swiss is 40,111 psi. CIP max for Swiss is 55,114 psi. I have used 39 grains of Varget with a 178 grain A-Max in the Swiss. A 16 or 20 gauge card wad is needed between the slug and the column wad cup. Use a six-star crimp vs. an eight. Index the center of a petal with the fold of star crimp. Here is a caveat if you do much Googling or YouTubing for help. LEE LOADER • VIEW TOPIC The 7.62x39 has its own merits, not the least of which is that is a 30 caliber with a moderate case capacity and quite useful with cast bullets as something more than a "plinker," in fact, like the 30-30, it can equal its jacketed ballistics using cast without a lot of fuss.I

The spent primer filth doesn't get into your working mechanism and cause your press to wear out faster than it should. 2. It's more convenient for you.
