Each year, City Council approves the budget needed to support city services. Municipal property taxes are a main source of revenue that municipalities use to pay for those services. To determine the amount of revenue required from property taxes, the city takes the overall expenses and subtracts all other sources of revenue such as licence fees, permits, user fees and provincial grants. Polls and research conducted during the pandemic found Canadians are facing mental health challenges, including an Angus Reid poll that found 50 per cent of Canadians polled stated COLLECTION CALENDAR & ROUTES The handy collection route map lets residents know which day of the week their curbside collection takes place.
