NatureSemi-natural park In the middle of the Walloon chain of slagheaps, the wooded Domain of 25 hectares, laid out as a semi-natural park, makes it possible to discover a particular biotope. USD MINER IN THE WORLD TODAY BOIS DU CAZIER 1956-2016 Is the mine of the 21st century really any different from that of 60 years ago when, on 8 August 1956, it was both the scene and the leading character in the biggest disaster ever to hit the Belgian coalmining industry? The themes covered will be those brought to light in Marcinelle, issues that cling more closely to the skin of this industry than the coal dust to that MINEWORKERS AND SCIENTISTS Science is not done by the scholars. Between production and interpretation, theory and practice, exchanges are constant. The coal mining was a structuring activity and had many economic and social consequences. But our miners also helped change science and even our worldview. We propose to discover in this entertaining and educationalexhibition.

LE MUSÉE DE L'INDUSTRIE Dans les anciens bains-douches et salle des pendus, la scénographie retrace l’histoire des principaux secteurs d’activités du sillon industriel Haine-Sambre-et-Meuse. Durant la Révolution industrielle, le pays de Charleroi est le centre de l’activité économique du pays. C’est ce monde en pleine transformation que ce Musée de l’Industrie fait revivre.*

LE MUSÉE DU VERRE
Le Musée du Verre trouve place dans le nouveau bâtiment, en verre et acier contemporain, à côté de la lampisterie et des Forges. Les collections sont présentées sous un angle novateur : une chronologie à rebours invite les visiteurs à partir des œuvres actuelles pour remonter jusqu’aux origines les plus anciennes du verre.*

ESPACE 8 AOÛT 1956
Dans une des salles de machine d’extraction, l’Espace 8 août 1956 est un centre d’interprétation consacré à la tragédie, à la sécurité au travail mais aussi aux phénomènes migratoires de l’après-guerre. Films, photographies, témoignages et explications techniques relatent, heure par heure, jour par jour, la catastrophe et les opérations de sauvetage.*

Osez un lieu d’exception pour vos événements! Dans un cadre industriel authentique, les 600m² de l’ancienne salle des machines, le Forum, permettent l’organisation de manifestations d’envergure en offrant une capacité maximale de 400 places assises. L’idéal pour vos séminaires, conférences, colloques, incentives,…*

LES FORGES
Un espace de 500 m2 pour une capacité maximale de 200 places assises. De par leur aspect brut, les forges donnent caractère et originalité à vos événements. Elles peuvent êtres agencées avec des tables ou des mange-debout. L’espace est toujours bien vivant grâce aux animations et stages de ferronnerie qui y sont régulièrementorganisées.

AUDITORIUM
L’auditorium, c’est un espace de 50 m2 pour une capacité maximale de 60 sièges amovibles. Situé à l’entrée du musée de l’Industrie, ce nouvel espace possède une tribune rétractable de 62 places assises. Mais son attrait, c’est avant tout son dispositif moderne d’image et de son permettant des projections de haute qualité pour l’organisation de conférences.*

ESPACE AMERCOEUR
Un espace de 200 m2 pour une capacité maximale de 180 places assises. Situé au-dessus de l’ancienne salle des machines (accessible par escalier ou ascenseur), l’Espace Amercœur, il offre une luminosité particulière grâce à ses grandes fenêtres, son plancher en bois et ses poutres métalliques. Il est propice aux séminaires, conférences, activités culturelles*

SALLE GALVAN
Située à l’entrée du site, à droite de la grille, la salle Galvan (du nom d’Angelo Galvan, sauveteur lors de la catastrophe) propose un espace de 50 m2 pour une capacité maximale de 50 places assises. Elle peut être agencée en salle de réunion, de conférence, de démonstration ou de formation. A la demande, un projecteur peut être mis à disposition.__

Prolongation de l'expo jusqu'au 5 mars! _TRANSFORMER NOS MINEURS DE FOND EN SUPER HÉROS ! VOILÀ LE PARI FOU DE CETTE EXPOSITION !_ EXPOSITION PROLONGÉE JUSQU’AU 5 MARS! Partie de rien, au hasard d’une discussion. Les photos et les souvenirs se sont vite enchaînés, tantôt tristes, tantôt gais, tantôt en demi-teintes! Et les discussions autour de nous se sont vite emballées aussi ; avec Thomas Liera, nous nous sommes vite rendu compte que nous n’avions pas besoin d’expliquer nos motivations : le fait de dire « nos mineurs, de Marcinelle ou d’ailleurs, sont tous des super héros », nous n’avons pas eu besoin d’en dire plus.
