Similar to an ILP, before a ULP, may engage in legal practice in NSW as a law practice, it must give the Law Society at least 14 days written notice in the PRACTICE MANAGEMENT COURSE Condition 3 is a discretionary condition imposed pursuant to s 53 of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) and Rule 16(b)(ii) of the Legal Profession Uniform General Rules 2015.If a practising certificate is subject to this condition, the holder must complete a Practice Management Course (PMC) before being eligible to practise as a principal of a law practice. SUPERVISED LEGAL PRACTICE The requirement. Section 49(1) of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW)(Uniform Law) imposes a statutory condition on a practising certificate issued by the Law Society's Council requiring the holder to, in this jurisdiction, engage in supervised legal practice only, until the holder has completed the period of supervised legal practice required.

Under the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) and the Legal Profession Uniform General Rules 2015, a law practice is required to have its trust records externally examined once in each financial year if it has received or held trust money, excluding transit money.. An external examination covers a law practice’s trust records from the beginning of April to the end of March in the following year. STATUTORY DEPOSITS CALCULATOR 2. Continuing General Trust Account where No Statutory Deposit Held Use this option if the general trust account has been open for some time and the law practice has not held a statutory deposit during the previous applicable period. PRACTICE MANAGEMENT COURSE Condition 3 is a discretionary condition imposed pursuant to s 53 of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) and Rule 16(b)(ii) of the Legal Profession Uniform General Rules 2015.If a practising certificate is subject to this condition, the holder must complete a Practice Management Course (PMC) before being eligible to practise as a principal of a law practice. CERTIFICATES OF FITNESS If you intend to engage in legal practice principally in an Australian jurisdiction other than New South Wales, or become a Barrister or Notary Public, The Law Society of New South Wales may supply you with a ‘Certificate of Fitness and Good Standing'.
