LAWRENCE ROTARY ARBORETUM In 2019, the Lawrence Rotary Clubs wanted to celebrate its centennial with the addition to the arboretum of a gathering space larger than the gazebo. A fundraiser was undertaken with a lead gift of $20,000 by Jeff and Mary Weinberg. The pavilion is an open-air structure and seats around 24 people. It was officially named the Jeffery and Mary YARD WASTE | CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS Yard waste should be set out by 6 a.m. on designated collection day (same day as trash collection). Yard waste is collected separately from trash and taken to the City’s Compost Facility. Yard waste must be set out in approved containers.
