In 1986 at the instigation of my wife Sharna I gave up a successful public relations and marketing business I'd started after 13 years in newspaper journalism, and moved to Botswana to "turn dreams into memories.". We ended up managing a safari camp for a few years, during which time I put my cameras and journalistic abilities to use TAMRON VS SIGMA 150-600 COMPARATIVE IMAGES We have done reviews of both the Tamron 150-600 and Sigma 150-600 lenses but realise that many photographers will want to see side-by-side image comparisons hence this Tamron vs Sigma 150-600 page. (You may also want to see how the Sigma lens compares to expensive professional lenses - if so, check out our page where we compare two award-winning wildlife photographers and their gear).AFRICAN SAFARIS
Photographers Guide to Kgalagadi "These eBooks are packed with knowledge that can be applied to other parks, safaris and wildlife excursions via the photography lessons and additional advice for photographers" - Amanda Ellis, Pretoria, South Africa "This eBook will be extremely useful for a wide spectrum of photography enthusiasts, from beginners to even professional photographers." BIRDS OF THE KRUGER NATIONAL PARK Birds of the Kruger National Park - the Kruger Park is a birder's paradise as there are over 500 species of birds that have been seen inthe park!
SILHOUETTES OF THE KRUGER NATIONAL PARK Here is a gallery of some of the silhouette images that we, the authors of the Photographer's Guide to the Greater Kruger National Park, have captured on our many visits to the world-famous KrugerNational Park.
BIRDING IN THE KRUGER PARK Birding is my passion & I just love to go birding in the Kruger National Park. As any birder would know, the best birding in Kruger is in the far North (Punda & Pafuri) - a couple of days spent here can produce a great & large bird list with 200 or more ticks over a periodof 7 - 10 days.
TWEE RIVIEREN
Activities. Twee Rivieren now has a Bird Hide and waterhole, it opened on the 05 September 2019. The walk to the hide starts near Chalet no.1, then up a small dune to the entrance which is on the fence. We have been told that it has lovely views from the hide and the waterhole is nicely laid out. BEST SAFARI LENS FOR AN AFRICAN SAFARI LEOPARDS OF THE KRUGER NATIONAL PARK, THE MOST ELUSIVE OF Here is a gallery of some of the leopard photographs that we, the authors of the Photographer's Guide to the Greater Kruger National Park, have captured on our DANGEROUS SAFARI ANIMALS ARE ONLY DANGEROUS IF YOU Here we discuss Africa's 10 most dangerous safari animals Rhinocerous. There are two rhinos in Africa - the black and white rhino. The white rhino is about twice the size of the black rhino but the black rhino tends to be more agressive.DARYL BALFOUR
1. Daryl, how did you get into wildlife photography? SKUKUZA SAFARI LODGE Skukuza Safari Lodge: Location. The new Skukuza Safari Lodge is situated in Skukuza Rest Camp in the iconic Kruger National Park. It offers luxury, catered accommodation, with a host of facilities and amenities, in close proximity to the conference center. OKAUKUEJO - KRUGER2KALAHARI Okaukuejo is located 17 km from Anderson Gate which is the southern entrance of the Etosha National Park, the camp is the largest camp in Etosha and tends to be the busiest.KALAHARI CAMP MAPS
On this page you will find all the Kalahari Camp maps (Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park camp maps). We don't want to duplicate what SANParks has on their web site but many visitors have requested all the maps on one page so here they are. ANIMAL IDENTIFICATION We realized that correct animal identification is lacking for many people when on safari. Some people tend not to correctly identify an animal when they see it or they misinterpret the behavior due to various reasons ranging from ignorance to false advertising. One of the most obvious cases of public indoctrination due to misleading advertising has to be the MGM lion!RHINO POACHING
If the poachers get hold of them, they will shoot the mother, cut off her horns and leave the baby to fend for itself. Real nice people! I sincerely hope that Namibia is prepared for the rhino poaching onslaught that South Africa is currently enduring as whatever happens in South Africa tends to spill over into neighboring countries, sooneror later.
A CRITICAL LOOK AT KRUGER NATIONAL PARK THE SAND RIVERS 12 leopards and 5.000 rhino (both black and white). Rhinos are being currently killed at the rate of one a day by poachers, however, and lion populations are crashing all over THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN ELEPHANTS The Magnificent Seven elephants have been replaced by a new generation of big tuskers, the largest of which was called Duke, named after the waterhole near Crocodile Bridge Camp. Duke died in October 2011 but do keep a lookout for the other 'Emerging Tuskers' that will replace these famous old bull elephants. If you find one please photograph him and post your photograph on this website for206Save

We have stayed in all types of accommodation - from the affordable rustic camps and B&B's to the private five-star bush lodges.Tent at Mutale
