Knockdown Center is an art and performance space dedicated to cross-disciplinary projects and collaborations. Visit our century-old building for innovative and experimental programming in visual arts, performance, music and more. About. KNOCKDOWN CENTER BOOKING Knockdown Center is a Historical converted factory building with unique architecture, lots of light, and pre-installed concert-grade AV. It is comprised of: Six interconnected “Main” Spaces with adjoining outdoor areas and capacity of up to 3200 guests inside, and 1200 outside. A parking lot for 120 vehicles. A programmed Art galleryspace

Tucked away in the far north-west corner of the building, Texas is a cozy 950 square foot room with built-in stage and PA, with a 4’ upper level that creates a dynamic space for concerts, performances, and panel discussions. Home of KDC’s monthly series of live work Sunday Service, this fully enclosed space holds 220 people if you HORSE MEAT DISCO 2020 Nonetheless their style is undeniable, as is a popper-scented air of sheer authenticity. Rooted in hedonism, rhythm, freedom and emotion, a Horse Meat Disco set reinforces everything invigorating about disco, as comfortable as shattering old-school mirror ball cliches as basking in their light. However, guests who appear intoxicated, are using offensive language, throwing objects, standing on furniture or any other behavior deemed by Knockdown Center as disruptive or dangerous in nature, are subject to ejection. TEMPORARY ALLEGIANCE Knockdown Center hosts Philip von Zweck’s project Temporary Allegiance, an ongoing open call for artist-made flags to be featured temporarily on our prominent 40 foot flagpole at the building’s entrance.. The project originated in Chicago as a platform for the freedom of expression on a public college campus.MACHINES IN MUSIC
Machines in Music is a free two-day modular synthesizer exhibition that brings together users and makers for hands-on exploration, discussions, and performance. Last year’s conference hosted 24 modular synthesizer companies from around the world, attracting the attention of beginners and experienced synthesizer users alike. LA LUNA | THE KNOCKDOWN CENTER La Luna is a sultry summer dance affair. Independently minded, we promote the elevated dance music we love. Purposeful in our production, we care about spirit, romance, and sustainability. LOURDES CORREA-CARLO: INTENDED TRAJECTORIES For her solo exhibition at Knockdown Center, Lourdes Correa-Carlo has produced seven new works in dialogue with urban embodiment and the visual politics of city space. Through sculpture, drawing, photography, video, and installation, Intended Trajectories reflects the artist’s ongoing engagement with her material surroundings, as well as her interest in the relationship between the OPEN CALL: EXHIBITIONS AND MAIN SPACES We are currently seeking proposals for Group Exhibitions in our gallery space, Solo Projects + Installations in our gallery space, and short-term Main Spaces Projects!
