GETTERS AND SETTERS
The full power of a getter and setter lies in the code we can execute when reading or writing a property. Because we are dealing with functions under the covers, we can run any code we want. In our zorb example, we used our greeting getter and setter to closely mimic what a data property would do. HOW MUCH HTML/CSS/JS DO YOU NEED TO KNOW PRIOR TO SETTING DROP SHADOWS ON SVGS When it comes to SVG elements, though, there is no handy svg-shadow equivalent in the CSS language. Instead, we have to knock on the doors of the CSS filter property and set its value to the drop-shadow function: .mySVG { filter: drop-shadow (0 0 40px #969696); } Once you have done this, your SVG will appear with a drop shadowcustom-designed

SILVERLIGHT PROJECT TEST PAGE Silverlight Project Test Page - KIRUPA CREATING A SMOOTH SLIDING MENU Making the Menu Work. The last (and probably most important) step is to make our menu actually slide-in and slide-out. This is done by using a combination of JavaScript and CSS. The CSS part is the easy one, so let's look at that first. In your style region, add the following style rule: #flyoutMenu.show {.JAVASCRIPT 101

KIRUPA.COM - CREATE A BASIC PARTICLE SYSTEM A very basic particle system is nothing more than a bunch of cirles/squares/whatever you prefer on your screen. They can be found moving and reacting to boundaries, objects, and even each other. You see them all the time in things like animations, simulations, or even games. You can see a live example or watch a video below of theparticle
SIMPLE VIDEO CHATTING WITH WEBRTC The way we generate a room is simple. When opening the page we'll first check if there is already a unique hash appended to the URL. If there is a unique hash, we are joining a specific video chat room. If there is no unique hash at the end of the URL, we MODIFYING DOM ELEMENTS The first step to modifying any HTML element in JavaScript is to first get a reference to it: let headingElement = document.querySelector ("#bigMessage"); Here is where our old friends querySelector and querySelectorAll come in. As we will see later, we also have indirect ways of referencing an element. DETECTING TOUCH SWIPE GESTURES First, we have our touch device: When we are performing a swipe gesture, there are two stages. The first stage is the initial touch where our finger makes contact with the touch screen surface: The second stage is where our fingers move across the screen from the point of the initial touch: In this example, we can tell that theswipe was cleary
UNDERSTANDING WEBVIEWS A WebView is an embeddable browser that a native application can use to display web content. There are a two sets of words to highlight here: The first set of words is native application (aka app). A native app is one written in the language and UI framework designed specifically for a particular platform: In other words, the app isn'ta cross
USEFUL ARRAY TRICKS
When we scratch beyond the surface of what arrays are capable of, we enter into some unchartered territory - even if what we are doing seems very reasonable. In this short article, let's chart the unknown and look at how we would accomplish some common array-related taskssuch as:
SMOOTH PARALLAX SCROLLING There are at least three ways you can scroll content in a browser. One way is by using the scrollbars. Another way is by using the mouse wheel. On mobile devices, a common way is by using your fingers. The final way is by using the up / down / PgUp / PgDn / etc. keys on yourkeyboard.
DETECTING IF THE USER IS IDLE OR INACTIVE function startTimer () {. timeoutID = window.setTimeout (goInactive, 2000); } Just replace the last argument to the setTimeOut function with the number of milliseconds you want to wait. Next, you should specify what you want your app to do when the user is inactive and when they are active.* Articles
