The rides and amusements are very family-friendly and provide safe and wholesome fun for everyone. Included in the mix is the tallest portable Ferris Wheel in the United States. There are only 4 in America and one of them has a home at Hog Days over Labor

_Kewanee Hog Days is a four day festival that has run over Labor Day weekend every year since 1954. This year marks Hog Fest number 67! If you click on the "History of Hog Days" link to the right, you'll discover it all started in 1947 with Kewanee and Henry County being declared the top hog producer in America. That begot an official State of Illinois resolution proclaiming us Hog Capital of the World and that begot a celebratory festival which grew over the years until it became a four day holiday weekend destination for folk from across the midwest. We no longer are the top hog producer in America but the Labor Day weekend funfest lives on!_ _The years and decades have come and gone. The people planning and attending our end of summer celebration have also come and gone. And yet, hog days continues. We certainly don't mean to sound arrogant trying to compare ourselves to something as big and sacred as Christmas but we've noticed it has just become an accepted and expected part of each year. You really never hear anyone ask "do you think there will be Christmas this year?" because that would be nonsense. Of course there will be Christmas!
