The 90's. Schmarje Tool Company, now majority owned by Clarence's son, Ron Schmarje, continues efforts to produce better tools and hold tighter tolerances while continuing to improve efficiency. Schmarje Tool Co. added state of the art machines to its manufacturing, such as the addition of 4 CNC grinders, the last being a 7 axis grinder. PEARL BUTTON FACTORY TOUR A foot pedal and hydraulic cylinder would lift the base of the machine. On a busy Friday we squeezed through the crowds of Japanese shoppers (even a Japanese cowboy), in this cozy area with a USA mainstreet feel to it, past world famous brand-named stores such as Vinton and Laura Ashley, to reach the Motomachi Yokohama store for Mikimoto pearles. PEARL CENTAUR AT ABU DHABI HOTEL The 856.58-carat (171.3 gram) nacreous baroque pearl sits secured in the antique gold sculptured torso of a centaur, a half-man, half-horse creature of Greek mythology.
