HOW TO MAKE HAM STOCK AND RECIPE IDEAS Turn the pot on to the lowest possible simmer and let the stock cook for 6-8 hours, adding a cup or two of water about once an hour. (See recipe for slow cooker cooking.) After 6-8 hours, remove the ham pieces and vegetables with a Slotted Spoon (affiliate link) or large spoon and discard. Taste the stock (carefully, since it’s hot!) PASTA WITH ZUCCHINI AND BASIL PESTO Measure out 2/3 cup basil pesto, and mince enough fresh garlic to make 1 tablespoon. Rub chicken on both sides with Greek Seasoning (affiliate link). Heat olive oil in frying pan over medium high heat, then add chicken breasts and cook about 2 minutes on first side, until it's starting to barely brown.
