From 1984 through 1991, she worked for Donald Judd in Switzerland, New York, and Marfa, Texas as his Studio Manager overseeing fabrication and gallery and museum relations. She holds BFA, MA, and MBA degrees and has taught art and art history for more than a decade. DONALD JUDD WRITINGS Donald Judd Writings presents a new collection of Judd’s writings spanning from 1958 to 1993. This publication includes Judd’s most well-known essays, such as “Specific Objects” and “Complaints I and II,” as well as little-known essays previously published in limited editions. Moreover, to provide readers with the context and breadth of his life’s work and thinking, this new NEW YORK | JUDD FOUNDATION Judd Foundation spaces in New York are temporarily closed. Founded in 2016 by artists Hank Willis Thomas, Eric Gottesman, Michelle Woo and Wyatt Gallery, For Freedoms is a platform for creative civic engagement, discourse, and direct action. Inspired by American artist Norman Rockwell’s paintings of Franklin D. ARCHITECTURE
Later, as a ranch owner, Judd further developed his architectural ideas for the desert landscape, examples of which are drawings for tanks, retaining walls, and living structures. His foremost concern in all cases was to alter the land as little as possible, declaring, “Here, everywhere, the destruction of new land is a brutality.”. OBJECTS | JUDD FOUNDATION Objects. In 1962, Donald Judd created his first work in three dimensions. Made out of wood, masonite and an asphalt pipe, this freestanding piece was the first object that he exhibited. Judd followed this piece with a second freestanding piece made out of wood and a right-angled metal pipe. He would go on to create ten majorworks in 1963

This shallow relief, which incorporates a folded aluminum triangle, was reproduced widely in reviews of New Work: Part I at Green Gallery, New York (January 8–February 2, 1963).This was Donald Judd’s first group exhibition at Green Gallery, where a year later he would exhibit his first solo show to include work in three dimensions (Don Judd, December 17, 1963–January 11, 1964).
