With the completion of the Diabetes Prevention Program, there has been a proliferation of studies attempting to translate this evidence base into practice. However, the cost, effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness of these adapted interventions is AUTISM - JOURNAL OF THE ACADEMY OF NUTRITION AND DIETETICS Autism is a broadly defined disorder of neurobiological origin with a complex genetic architecture affecting communication and social development. 1 Usually appearing during the first 3 years of life, autism is most typically observed as a set of highly individualized behaviors that reflect sensory abnormalities and motor impairment. ADULT/SENIOR MALNUTRITION Malnutrition is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality, especially among older adults. However, diagnosis and treatment of malnutrition in the hospital setting are often overlooked. In recent years, quality improvement (QI) initiatives to increase the assessment and treatment of malnutrition in hospital settings have been implemented and PEDIATRIC MALNUTRITION The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, utilizing an evidence-informed, consensus-derived process, recommend that a standardized set of diagnostic indicators be used to identify and document pediatric malnutrition (undernutrition) in routine clinical practice. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY Research methodology.
