IRIS CALCULATOR
Iris Calculator is a web-based app for helping create mechanical iris diaphragms. It enables you to work through multiple design iterations in an instant, taking all the pain away, and saving you countless hours of design time. Alter dimensions and refine elements of your iris mechanism on the fly. Turn components on/off, and operate theiris
PAPER MECHANICAL IRIS Cut the 3 pin hole lines in the blades exactly. It's important to get them right - if you screw up by cutting them too far beyond the hole, chuck it, and start again with a new blade. Use a pencil to poke the holes so the triangular leaflets can bend back on themselves around the edge. Make sure they bend in the directions shown in the image UPGRADE - IRIS CALCULATOR Unrestricted dimensions Create the iris you need without limitations. Of course you need an iris diaphragm to start, which you can read about here. Once you have that, it’s very simple to make the stencil: Just print and cut out the parts of the image you want.
