Fluent in Italian, French and Arabic, she is a senior finance professional, having spent the first 10 years of her career managing key pan-European financial institution relationships within Capital Markets at Morgan Stanley, London. ROLE OF THE NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR On completion of this one day programme you will leave with a profound understanding of the role of a non-executive director, how to secure this position and first class strategies to hone your skill set and improve your knowledge: Identify the key attributes of an effective NED. Recognise the legal and practical responsibilities of the NED. FIVE ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR A DIRECTOR Strategic Thinking. Directors need to review their strategies to identify possible vulnerabilities, such as a potential takeover, availability of large cash balances and under-performing divisions.
