ACADEMY INSTRUCTIONS ARCHIVE www.intscalemodeller.com (ISM) - Established on 23rd May, 2013. An International Scale Modelling forum focusing on fun and information. A haven for all modellers everywhere. FOAM BOARD FOR DIORAMAS Hi All I've been bitten by the diorama bug so my brains a boggling with ideas and I'm buying kits specifically with dioramas in mind. I understand a lot of modellers use foam board in diorama base construction so my newbie questions are what is the best stuff and where (UK) is the best place to buy it. HOW TO MAKE CAMOUFLAGE NETS Make sure the particles have the right size, it shouldn´t be too fine. Then i mixed some water and wood glue together put the gauze bandage into it so its soaked with the glue. Next i put the soaked bandages on the tank. Finally i mixed the tea and marjoram ACADEMY VS TAMIYA VS OTHERS Instructions are clear, very little fit problems, and very easy to build. But this comes at a cost, accuracy and detail suffer. Other than that they are very easy kits to build. Be careful buying expensive Tamiya kits, very overpriced for what you get. Academy, depends what you get. Re: Making sprue goo. pile it up in the bottle until half the pile is not in glue, after that you adjust to your needs or mix another batch at a different constituency. That is to be expected of the Revell re-releases, but until Trumpeter released a 1:48 scale kit, it was the only one. MR HOBBY/COLOUR? SELF LEVELLING THINNER... WHAT IS IT Mr Color self leveling thinnerit's a lacquer thinner, so good for Mr hobby and Tamiya. Use leveling thinners with the Aqueous paints. The Mr. Color line ( lacquer thinner only) seems to be best airbrushed as it dries extremely fast. The Mr Hobby color (Aqueous) line is more forgiving and can be mixed with water or TET or isopropyl alcohol . Well, first of all there is no "magic" pressure to thinner ratio because every modeller has their own. You just have to keep on experimenting with different ratios, pressures and thinners and see what fits youbest.

SPARMAX TC-610H VS SPARMAX TC-620X COMPRESSORS. ANY Power / demand wise though the 610 is perfectly adequate for scale modelling. The 620 has a quoted noise rating slightly over that of the 610, but the 610 produces a higher pitched sound than the 620, so in real life the 620 is less irritating to be around if noise is a concern. The only other benefits of the 620 are the slightly handier /more

Then i mixed some water and wood glue together put the gauze bandage into it so its soaked with the glue. Next i put the soaked bandages on the tank. GETTING THAT HIGH GLOSS FINISH? Here are my two "best" result, experimenting on primed plastic tea spoons: Spoon A 0.2mm needle, 25psi, Tamiya gloss Acrylic thinned 2 parts X20A to 1 part paint. Spoon B, 0.4mm needle, 25psi, Tamiya Gloss Acrylic thinned 3 parts X20A to 1 part paint. Not exactly a shiny finish. So I think that is the easiest way forward, use flat paints,then
