Husband & wife team. Small outfit; but definitely big on service. Coming from a tropical climate, iceland seems remotely cold. They were very patient to all my queries and helped plan our very tight 3 day itinerary. Unfortunately, due to covid-19, we decided to cancel the trip. IHR was understanding about our cancellation and helped us arranged for a refund. Their warmth, efficiency and ever prompt replies convinced me to 'boast' about them here. i will definitely look for them should i arrange for a trip to Iceland in future.Show more

It's like having a local friend. We booked our 3 day tour through I Heart Reykjavik and not only was the tour amazing, but the folks at I Heart Reykjavik were there for any questions we had and even to help us when weather forced us to make some last minute changes to our plans.AymesTraveler

Excellent small group tour We went on the northern lights tour. Excellent tour with only a handful of places, and they use jeeps so we were able to get off road away from city lights to provide us with a better view. I saw other tours which were using minibuses, that could only pull off onto the side of the road so had the disadvantage of car headlights to contendwith.
Lovely hot chocolate and snacks provided to warm us up on the cold night, and we were lucky enough to see the lights.Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful--plan your trip to Iceland w/them! I just visited Iceland at the beginning of January. It was my first trip there and my first big solo adventure. During preliminary research, I came across I Heart Reykjavik's fabulous blog and immediately reached out. Auður was super responsive, kind, and knowledgeable and helped me start planning my itinerary right away based on my interests, budget, and length of stay. She was so great and nice, answering all of my questions. She also connected me to I Heart Reykhavik's Instagram, as she was going on one of the tours they recommended, so I could follow along to confirm if it was for me (and also, she was going on the tour again to do her homework and see if/how things had changed). Once the itinerary was set, she made things very easy by booking everything at no additional cost to me. Upon arrival in Iceland, I was welcomed via email by both Auður and her partner Hrannar. They continued to communicate w/me throughout my trip, keeping me up to date on whether a tour was happening or not and rescheduling tours that had been cancelled due to weather. I ended up re-booking one thing on my own after a few days there...that ended up being cancelled again (weather)...and working directly with the tour company to get a refund required jumping through many hoops. With everything else though (which I booked through I Heart Reykjavik), Auður and Hrannar handled reimbursement seamlessly. WHEN I go back to Iceland, I am definitely reaching out to them again and making sure to book everything with them. They are absolutely lovely, very passionate about people having a wonderful time in Iceland, extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and warm/friendly.Show more
