PARC (PHYSICAL ACTIVITY RESEARCH CENTRE) The Yuel Family Physical Activity Research Centre (PARC) is a community-based research facility that is led by ICORD researchers and a PARC Advisory Committee made up of members from ICORD, Spinal Cord Injury BC, GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre, and the UBC School of Kinesiology Outreach Program. The facility is committed to providing PROPRIOCEPTION TRAINING PROTOCOL FOR PEOPLE WITHSEE MORE ON ICORD.ORGPROPRIOCEPTION PROBLEMS IN ADULTS WHEELCHAIR SKILLS TRAINING IN CANADA Additionally, of the 68 rehabilitation centres, 29% provided validated wheelchair skills training using the Wheelchair Skills Training Program (WSTP). 42% provided an average of 1-4 hours of training. 86% incorporated no validated wheelchair training program. 17%DR. PROPRIOCEPTION TRAINING PROTOCOL FOR PEOPLE WITH The passive intervention focused on the recovery of sensory function in individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI). Specifically, this training protocol was designed to recover proprioception. Proprioception refers to our ability to recognize the position and movement of our body, and it plays a critical role in human movementcontrol.

We are located in the Blusson Spinal Cord Centre at Vancouver General SCIRE: SPINAL CORD INJURY RESEARCH EVIDENCE The Spinal Cord Injury Research Evidence (SCIRE) Project is dedicated to providing up-to-date, accurate information about the effects of rehabilitation for people with SCI. SCIRE staff review and rate the research on spinal cord injury and put the results on the web – eliminating the need to search and screen individual databases. DR. ANDREI KRASSIOUKOV Dr. Andrei Krassioukov is a clinician-researcher devoted to helping people with SCI maintain their cardiovascular health. His focus is on a condition commonly known as autonomic dysreflexia (AD), a condition familiar to the majority of individuals with SCI as well as theircaregivers.
