HOW TO TEACH YOUR BABY TO READ In very large, clear print, write the names of 10 objects in the house (window, refrigerator, door, wall, picture) – whatever seems most interesting. Hang the word cards around the house in the appropriate places. Now take a tour and tell the baby, with enthusiasm, what NEWBORNS—RIGHT-SIDE UP OR UPSIDE DOWN Newborns—Right-Side Up or Upside Down. All newborn and tiny babies spend most of their time lying on some surface. For most of them this is a baby carriage, an infant seat, a crib, a walker, a swinging seat, a stroller, or a playpen; all of these are restrictive and prison-like. Now make the first 10 quantity cards your baby will see. Card 1 has only 1 red dot, card 2 has 2 red dots, etc. The last card in the set, of course, has 10 dots. After completing the introduction parents may choose to enroll in one course at a time and complete that course or they may choose to enroll in all the courses. The Pathway covers Mobility, Intelligence 300+ LABELS DESCRIBE BRAIN-INJURED CHILDREN SYMPTOMS. When the brain is injured there may be dozens of symptoms of that injury. This makes sense because the brain runs everything. PROGRAMS FOR HURT CHILDREN Our children arrive with symptomatic diagnoses such as cerebral palsy, autism, developmental delay, epilepsy, attention deficit disorder, learning problems, dyslexia or one of many syndromes for genetic disorders that can cause neurological problems. Many parents are told that their child cannot be helped. Instead of receiving effective treatment, they are offered palliative care. We treat the brain, not the symptoms. This makes all the difference. Our parents have proven that hurt children have enormous potential.

A REAL DIAGNOSIS

When children come to us, they have often received a poor prognosis and symptomatic labels, but no real diagnosis. We give children an accurate diagnosis that states the area of the brain involved, the degree of injury, and the extent of injury to brain.

DRUG-FREE TREATMENT

Some medications have a suppressive effect on the brain. A sedated child is not a healthy child. We use a program of stimulation and opportunity, not medications, to help the injured brain to mature and function more normally.

UNIQUE PROGRAMMING

Each child is unique and requires a program designed for that child’s neurological condition and physiology. This course gives a detailed map of the first twelve months of life and carefully guides mother and father through each stage. Parents learn how to evaluate their baby through The Institutes Developmental Profile. This gives each parent a clear picture of where the baby’s development is on track and where the baby may need more stimulation and opportunity.
