UPDATE #21: CONTENT RE-ALIGNMENTDear NTU Kid users,
INTRODUCTION
NTU Kid was established with the intention of sharing knowledge and being a leveller of education. Over the past year, we have shared knowledge on MODULE-MAPPING, explained the
process for OVERSEAS EXCHANGE APPLICATION, as well as
POOLED STUDY RESOURCESfor students,
optimizing the process of learning and application.SITUATION
This is not something new - many of such exchanges have happened privately between seniors/ juniors, at Orientation Group Camps and even in official school CCA clubs. Many other small notes sharing site exist on the internet and blogosphere as well - we simply aggregated things a lot better, and had really good SEO.THE FIGURES
At the same time, we want to celebrate our accomplishments. With approximately 150K PAGE VISITS and 900 VISITORS DAILY, we were able to collect the following: * 61 reviews on modules helped NTU students plan their courses * 4960 VIEWS of Overseas Exchange Guide may suggest room to improve for user-friendliness * 8,998 VIEWS of AC2301 Principles of Taxation may indicate insufficient notes in the classroom * 11AM on MONDAYS - the most popular time which NTU Kid is accessed in a week, accurately reflecting our weekly dose of determination toimprove our GPAs
The fact that this site has become so popular without a single cent spent on marketing reflects the desire of the students for a bettersolution.
NEXT STEPS
As mentioned, we will be doing a thorough RESOURCE CLEAN-UP over the next few days, to ensure our materials do not violate the parameters that have been graciously offered by the Institution. Additionally, we will revamp the user-experience of the site and improve the width and depth of the services offered. We are likely to also implement a password system as to secure the integrity of our site from outsiders. If you are keen to access our site for Module-Mapping, Overseas Exchange Application, and Pooled Study Resources, please indicate your interest at the following URL: HTTP://BIT.DO/NTUKIDFAREWELL
We wish you a good academic semester that is fruitful in learning and productive in the making of life-long friends.Best regards,
NTU Kid moderators
