From December 2020 we have taken the difficult decision to stop all visitors to patients in adult wards and our emergency department. Visit this page to find out how you can keep in touch with your loved ones. There is no change to the visiting rules on our children's wards (one consistent visitor only) or maternity (one consistent birthing partner who can also accompany mum to the post-natal RESPIRATORY MEDICINE The department of respiratory medicine offers the highest quality of care for patients with respiratory disease and contributes towards the improvement of respiratory healthcare through the service it provides, as well as through education and training. BLADDER AND BOWEL CARE SERVICE Stress incontinence: a urine leak when you cough, sneeze, run, or exert yourself Urge incontinence: a urine leak after a strong and sudden urge to pass urine Overactive bladder: needing to pass urine more than 8 times a day Nocturia: - waking up more than 1 once per night Mixed urinary incontinence: a mix of the above Bowel incontinence: the inability to hold wind or stools RAPID RESPONSE AND VIRTUAL WARD The Rapid Response and Virtual Ward Service is an integrated service provided by Whittington Health in conjunction with both Haringey and Islington Clinical Commissioning Groups, with the PATIENT ADVICE AND LIAISON SERVICE (PALS) The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) is for everyone who uses Whittington Health services. PALS provides advice, information and support to patients, families and their carers. COMMUNITY RESPIRATORY (CORE) TEAM The COmmunity REspiratory (CORE) Team comprises of integrated respiratory consultants, specialist nurses, specialist physiotherapists, smoking cessation advisors and psychology focusing on patients with chronic respiratory disease e.g. those with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease such as COPD and Bronchiectasis. You must be registered with an Islington or Haringey GP to be referred tothis
