SEVEN FALLS

Seven Falls, aka South Branch Falls, consists of a series of seven spectacular waterfalls along the South Branch Middle Fork of the Feather River, in Plumas National Forest. LOWER EAGLE FALLS

Lat/Long:38.95185, -120.11029. Directions:Along Hwy #89, 8.5 miles northwest of Hwy #50 junction, at South Lake Tahoe. Park at the Emerald Bay / Vikingsholm State Park ($5 fee). Lower Eagle Falls (140 ft.) is seen from the roadside, at the Emerald Bay / Vikingsholm parking lot area (a half mile drive from the Eagle Falls picnic area).

BEATSON FALLS

Beatson Falls is one of the two nicest and most spectacular falls on the Table Mountain Wildlife Area in Oroville (the other being Phantom Falls). It drops 100 ft. in a spectacularly steep and beautiful canyon into an incredible amphitheater surrounded by steep cliffs. It (along with Phantom Falls) has a larger drainage than most of the other

The viewpoint for Pit River Falls is not great because you are about a half-mile away from the waterfall, and there are some obstructions in the way, but it does give you a sense of the majesty of the falls if it is flowing strong. Horsetail Falls, aka Rush Creek Falls, is a huge 270 ft. waterfall dropping down from Agnew Lake in the June Lake Loop area. In the spring and early summer, the waterfall is amazing with the snow melting. But later in the year, it is still a very impressive cascade, depending on if any water is being released from the upstream dam at

Agnew Lake.

HORSETAIL FALLS

Horsetail Falls, aka Rush Creek Falls, is a huge 270 ft. waterfall dropping down from Agnew Lake in the June Lake Loop area. In the spring and early summer, the waterfall is amazing with the snow melting. But later in the year, it is still a very impressive cascade, depending on if any water is being released from the upstream dam at

Agnew Lake.

Beatson Falls is one of the two nicest and most spectacular falls on the Table Mountain Wildlife Area in Oroville (the other being Phantom Falls). It drops 100 ft. in a spectacularly steep and beautiful canyon into an incredible amphitheater surrounded by steep cliffs. The viewpoint for Pit River Falls is not great because you are about a half-mile away from the waterfall, and there are some obstructions in the way, but it does give you a sense of the majesty of the falls if it is flowing strong. The best way to experience the waterfall, however, is to scramble down the

MILLIKEN CANYON FALLS Milliken Canyon Falls is a 30 ft. high cascade along the roadside, outside of the town of Napa. It is a bit out of the way and access to the falls is quite limited, so you may not want to go out of your way to go see it, unless you are a waterfall guru.

Swamp Creek Falls is a marvelous tiered cascade along Hwy 70, near Oroville. It cannot be seen from the road; it is interesting to get to and quite adventurous, but also a bit intimidating.

Diana Falls is a small but very lovely waterfall dropping on Bean Creek in Stanislaus Natl Forest. It seems to be a popular location and is very easy to get to.
