WTIA, tech industry nonprofit sea.citi, and the Seattle Chamber of Commerce joined forces in the fall, asking member companies and their employees to donate computers — and the money needed to refurbish them — to bridge the digital divide for thousands of K-12 students from low-income neighborhoods in South King County. The virtual program — part of the WTIA Startup Program — helps seed-stage startups grow and scale over the course of 6 months by following a roadmap designed to guide them through their next milestones as they navigate increasing revenue, securing investment and MOVING BEYOND DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION: CULTIVATING Repeated studies have shown the tangible benefits of diversity in the workplace: improved performance and profitability, faster innovation, better problem-solving, higher employee engagement, lower turnover, and stronger employer brand reputation. USING NEUROSCIENCE FOR BETTER INTERVIEWING The combination of a rubric and a consistent set of interview topics is in line with structured interviewing, which is a better predictor of job performance than standard interviewing. 4.
