Australian pianist, Anthony Romaniuk, has taken the risk. Mit seiner Spezialisierung auf Barockmusik und die Aufführung der Werke Johann Sebastian Bachs an den authentischen Bachstätten verfügt das Festival über künstlerische wie touristische Anziehungskraft zugleich – in Thüringen und darüber hinaus. Ausgangspunkt des Festivals ist ein einzigartiges historisches Potential im Freistaat Thüringen. Mit Bachhaus und Taufkirche in Eisenach, der Traukirche in Dornheim, den frühen Wirkungsstätten in Mühlhausen, Arnstadt und Weimar sowie den Häusern der Vorfahren in Erfurt und Wechmar verfügt Thüringen über die Mehrzahl authentischer Bachorte. DIE CELLISTIN TANJA TETZLAFF IST GLENN GOULD BACH FELLOW 2021-22 Sie ist die erste gewählte Künstlerin, die mit dem Fellowship der Stadt Weimar geehrt wird. Ermöglicht wird das Fellowship durch die großzügige Unterstützung der Philip Loubser Foundation, organisiert wird es von den Thüringer Bachwochen. Im Rahmen ihres Stipendiums wird Tanja Tetzlaff ein Filmprojekt realisieren, dass Bachs Cellosuiten in Verbindung mit der Natur und zu Fragen des Klimawandels bringt. Wir freuen uns sehr auf die Zusammenarbeit!

ABSAGE UND NEUAUFLAGE DES FESTIVALS Mit großem Bedauern haben wir entschieden, die bevorstehende Saison der Thüringer Bachwochen abzusagen.Leider ist unter den gegebenen Umständen weder realistisch noch zu verantworten, in wenigen Wochen bereits wieder zu Konzerten mit Publikum einzuladen, Künstlerinnen und Künstler und auch Sie als unsere Gäste aus nah und fern anreisen zu lassen. Die geplanten Konzerte müssen daher zu den angekündigten Terminen entfallen. Hierfür bitten wir sehr um Ihr Verständnis.weiter lesen Selbstverständlich ist es uns unterdessen ein Anliegen, Ihnen im weiteren Verlauf des Jahres herausragende Bach-Konzerte an historischen Orten  anbieten zu können. So freuen wir uns sehr, bereits ab sofort einen Kalender für nachgeholte Bachwochen im September präsentieren zu können. Diesen finden Sie hier auf unserer Website - und für diese Konzerte können Sie auch ab sofort Tickets

reservieren.

Da wir derzeit noch nicht wissen, wie die Anforderungen an Sicherheit und Distanz im Spätsommer sein werden, haben wir uns entschieden, zunächst nur Ihre Reservierungswünsche entgegen zu nehmen; die verbindlichen Buchungen sind dann voraussichtlich ab dem Frühling

möglich.

Und auch für den April arbeiten wir noch an alternativen Angeboten, die je nach Lage der Pandemie live oder virtuell stattfinden können. Hierzu erhalten Sie Informationen, sobald wir mehr über die Situation
