NEWBIE HELP WITH MULTI UVS You can only have 1 UV tile per object in Painter, and you can only have 1 TextureSet/ tile activated at one time. You can only see (and paint!) the UV tile of the object you have currently selected. To be able to paint onto another object you need to select it in the TextureSet list. It is impossible (as of yet) to paint across multipleobjects!
ROUGHNESS ISSUE IN UE4 matthewsmall1234. Hi I'm having issues with my model in UE4. In substance painter my model looks really rough (which is what I want). However in UE4, the model looks very glossy (which is not what I want) as you can see in the image. I hooked up the textures to their correct outputs and everything is fine apart from the roughness. USER INTERFACE SCALE AND LAYOUT Hi, Allegorithmic, please could you let me know when updates are going to be made to the user interface in Substance Painter as it is currently very difficult to read the text, button icons and UI elements in general when using a 27 inch monitor at 1440 resolution. CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW TO USE ROUGHNESS MAPS IN UNITY? To do this you can use the RGBA-Merge node in substance designer. As you can see, I inverted my roughness map to make a smoothness map. You don't have to do this but if you also want to use the heightmap in unity you can merge this into the Green channel, because Heightmaps in unity use this channel. This way you can put 3 maps into a singleimage.

In some situations, it can be useful to be able to paint over the baked normal map in order to hide details (or even fix baking issues). The default setup of a project in Substance Painter doesn't allow that, as it computes the normal channel and the baked normal separately. This behavior can be changed via the Texture Set settings. GPU DRIVERS CRASH WITH LONG COMPUTATIONS (TDR CRASH The right pane should now looks like this : Close the Registry editor. Restart the computer by using Start then Restart.
